Discover how VILL OKSE is making a significant impact on environmental preservation.
We firmly believe that the true sustainability of a product cannot be solely assessed by its production conditions. The durability of the product is equally as important. Hence, we have established stringent quality standards, working exclusively with durable and authentic materials that ensure long-lasting satisfaction.Environmental friendly! Our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental impact are evident in our practices. These include the judicious use of energy and raw materials, as well as strict adherence to state-approved and controlled areas for our tanneries. We also carefully manage water quantities and ensure that waste water is treated according to regulations. Lastly, we closely monitor and control the import and export of materials. We work closely with tanneries to constantly refine our recipes and offer extensive assistance in elevating their social and ecological standards. A considerable amount of our leather is obtained from tanneries that are part of the Leather Working Group and have been recognized as 'Gold Members' for meeting strict criteria.
Social Responsibility - "People are more important to us than fashion trends. Trust and honesty are the greatest asset of a brand"
Embark on a Bold Adventure of Authenticity and Tradition with VILL OKSE!. STYLED WITH CARE with our carefully chosen partners in India, United States, Germany, and Italy, we have been collaborating since 2019 with mutual respect. Close personal contact is essential to establish a fair foundation for continuous development on both sides. That's why we personally visit our producers and tanneries several times a year. Our producers are medium-sized companies with approximately 100 to 300 employees. In order to maintain compliance with international standards pertaining to quality, health, safety, environmental protection, and social responsibility, companies undergo monitoring and certification by independent institutions. SOCIAL AUDITS by Globally recognized organizations like Bureau Veritas or BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) conduct the certification process according to the SA8000 international standard. Unannounced audits ensure adherence to regulations prohibiting child labor and discrimination (including gender or religion). We prioritize health protection, occupational safety, and building safety measures. Our employees have the right to join trade unions and benefit from health insurance schemes. We have restrictions on working hours and guarantee salaries that go beyond the minimum wage, ensuring a sustainable income for our workforce.
